3rd Annual Quality of Life WALK at Lunken Playfield
Cincinnati, OH - Help us raise needed funds for many local organizations working to provide services for families with special needs children.
Please join us for the Third Annual "Quality of Life" WALK being held Saturday, October 18th, 2008 at Lunken Playfield. Learn more about how you can Register, Get a TEAM Registered, have your favorite nonprofit that helps kids raise funds or become one of the many Sponsors of the event.
We would like to give a HUGE thanks to our founding sponsor who made the WALK come to life: Christ College of Nursing & Health Sciences. They along with many businesses and organizations have contributed to making the WALK a success.
We invite nonprofits to contact us to become a Supported Organization from this WALK. The nonprofit must be a 501(c)(3) and must be providing services to families and children living with behavioral or medical needs issues. The registered nonprofit will than earn funds for every registered walker supporting their organization.
One Hundred percent of the funds raised will directly support local programs in your community. At the bottom of this page please take a peak of the businesses currently onboard and tell them "Thank You".

What: "Quality of Life" WALK Where: Lunken Airport Playfield, Cincinnati, Ohio: Beechmont Ave and Wilmer Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45226 When: Saturday, October 18th, 2008 (9:00 am to 2:00pm)
WALK Event Schedule: Registration begins at 9am- Check-in at 9 am and turn in any pledges that you have received. Enjoy the music, browse our sponsor booths and get ready for a great walk.
The WALK begins at 10am- The Lunken Playfield loop is 5.4 miles and circles around Lunken Airport. Turn around points for shorter walks will be marked along the way so everyone can participate according to their ability. Strollers, wheelchairs, skaters as well as those on foot are all welcome to enjoy the fall colors, music and an active airfield. TEAMS are encouraged! Create T-shirts and signs to walk for your favorite child or to show your support for the Child Wellness Community Fund or your favorite nonprofit helping kids.
We will also have plenty of booths with our sponsors and info from local and national service providers helping families learn about programs caring for Behavioral and Medical concerns for your family.
HOW TO REGISTER: Individuals can download the Registration Form, Register On-line or register the day of the WALK... even if you plan to register the day of the WALK- please download the Form and have it filled out when you get to the park to help speed up the registration process. Please note that there is a minimum registration fee of ($15 for Adults & Teens) or (No Minimum for Children 12 & under). $20 the day of the WALK.
TEAMS can register using the downloadable PDF TEAM Registration Form or Register On-line. As few as four people can register as a TEAM. The minimum TEAM registration fee is $75. Once the team has registered their name and first four walkers, additional TEAM members can register by downloading the PDF Registration Form, Register On-line or register the day of the WALK. Each additional team member has a minimum registration fee of ($15 for Adults & Teens) or (No Minimum for Children 12 & under). HOW TO GATHER PLEDGES ONCE REGISTERED: Once you are registered work on getting Pledges from friends, family and co-workers. The first 300 registered walkers to turn in $25 or more of combined registration fee/collected pledges will get a FREE T-Shirt the day of the WALK. Take a look at these additional Pledge Prizes:
$25 or more... Quality of Life T-shirt for the first 300 pledges of $25 or more. $500 or more... Baseball hat with Child Wellness Fund Logo. $1,500 or more... Jacket with your name stitched on the front and the Child Wellness Fund logo on the back. PLUS be in a drawing for more great Prizes after the WALK...
You can download the PDF Pledge Form here. Please collect all donations at the time the pledge is made. Anyone that wants to write a check should make it out to: "Quality of Life" WALK... we can also accept credit card pledges online. Simply have your sponsor visit www.childwellnessfund.com - On the home page they will find a link in the main text SPONSOR A WALKER -CREDIT CARD PLEDGE. In three or four clicks they will have made a pledge in your name.

We work with all sizes of businesses and organizations and will work with you to design a sponsorship package that fits your interests and resources.
